Q1. What is hydrogen?
A1. Hydrogen is the first element in the periodic table. Molecular hydrogen is the smallest molecule known in nature and generally exists in a gaseous state. Hydrogen molecules move at high speed and have strong penetrating ability—advantages that other types of molecules cannot match.
+
Q2. What is the difference between the antioxidant effects of molecular hydrogen and vitamin C?
A2. The free radicals produced by the body are roughly divided into two categories: those that the body needs, and those that the body does not need and are highly toxic. Although both molecular hydrogen and vitamin C are antioxidants, vitamin C treats all free radicals alike by removing all of them, while molecular hydrogen only removes the free radicals that are unnecessary and highly toxic, such as hydroxyl (OH•).
+
Q3. What is the theoretical basis of molecular hydrogen products (hydrogen water machines, hydrogen water bottles, hydrogen–oxygen machines, etc.)?
A3. Molecular hydrogen can help eliminate free radicals in the body, providing support for overall health and wellness.
+
Q4. Is molecular hydrogen toxic to the human body? Is it safe for long-term use?
A4. Preclinical and clinical studies related to molecular hydrogen continue to increase, and to date, no research has shown that molecular hydrogen poses any harm to the human body. According to biocompatibility and biosafety data released by the European Union and the United States, molecular hydrogen exhibits no acute or chronic toxicity to humans under normal atmospheric pressure.
+
Q5. Molecular hydrogen has remarkably beneficial effects and is considered highly safe with no known side effects. Does this mean that other dietary supplements or medications are no longer necessary? Can molecular hydrogen alone solve all problems?
A5. Molecular hydrogen is not a cure-all and cannot solve all problems of the human body or life itself. Molecular hydrogen is not a medication and cannot replace drugs for the treatment of diseases. Rather, molecular hydrogen provides a new tool or approach for health support and management, and is not intended to replace conventional medical care.
+
Q6. What is the most effective way to use molecular hydrogen to maximize its benefits??
A6. There is currently no clear answer to the dose-effect relationship of hydrogen. According to the standards proposed by the "International Hydrogen Medical Standards Committee"(IHSA), the molecular hydrogen concentration of drinking molecular hydrogen water should be no less than 0.5 ppm, and each person should supplement at least 0.5 mg of molecular hydrogen per day. In other words, if the concentration of molecular hydrogen in the water is 1 ppm, you only need to drink 500 ml of molecular hydrogen water every day. It is recommended to inhale molecular hydrogen for more than 1 hour so that various organs of the body can dissolve the maximum amount of molecular hydrogen to increase its effectiveness.
+
Q7. How is molecular hydrogen produced?
A7. The most common source of molecular hydrogen is through the decomposition of water. The molecular formula of water is H2O. Water gets electrolyzed into molecular hydrogen and oxygen gas when an electric current is passed through.
+
Q8. Can molecular hydrogen reach the brain and exert its effects?
A8. Molecular hydrogen is an extremely small and highly mobile gas molecule that can freely reach all parts of the body. Many medications used in clinical practice are unable to enter the brain because they are blocked by the blood–brain barrier.
+
Q9. What is the best way to obtain molecular hydrogen?
A9. Inhaling hydrogen gas, drinking hydrogen-rich water, and taking hydrogen-rich water baths each have their own advantages and limitations. Using them together, in a multi-pronged approach, delivers the best overall results. Hydrogen inhalation offers the most comprehensive benefits, drinking hydrogen-rich water is the most convenient, and hydrogen-rich water bathing provides the most comfortable experience.
+
Q10. Is drinking hydrogen-rich water legal?
A10. Molecular hydrogen is used as a food additive in the United States, Japan, South Korea, and China without dosage restrictions. In Taiwan, water is classified as a food; adding molecular hydrogen to water does not change the classification.
+
Q11. Can hydrogen-rich water be stored for a period of time after preparation before being consumed?
A11. Molecular hydrogen dissolved in water easily escapes into the air, causing a decrease in molecular hydrogen concentration. Therefore, it is recommended to drink hydrogen-rich water immediately after it is produced.
+
Q12. Can hydrogen-rich water be stored in a glass bottle and carried with you for consumption at any time?
A12. Molecular hydrogen has extremely high permeability, and ordinary plastic or glass containers cannot effectively retain it. If you need to carry hydrogen-rich water with you, it is recommended to use stainless steel or aluminum alloy bottles or cups, as they can preserve hydrogen better than plastic or glass containers. That said, the golden rule still applies: produce it and drink it immediately for the best results.
+
Q13. What does the solubility of molecular hydrogen in water, measured in parts per million (ppm), mean? How much hydrogen-rich water needs to be consumed for it to be effective?
A13. The solubility of molecular hydrogen in water is 1.83%. In terms of mass, this means that under standard conditions, a maximum of about 1.6 mg of hydrogen can dissolve in 1 liter of water. Converting 1.6 mg/L gives 1.6 ppm, so 1.6 ppm represents the saturated concentration of molecular hydrogen in water. Clinical studies have shown that drinking 900 mL of hydrogen-rich water daily can lead to a reduction in blood lipid levels after two months. Japanese researchers have also found that drinking 1,000 mL of hydrogen-rich water daily for 48 consecutive weeks can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with Parkinson’s disease. Hydrogen-rich water does not produce immediate, dramatic effects; its benefits require long-term, consistent consumption.
+
Q14. Can hydrogen-rich water be consumed with other health supplements or medications? Will hydrogen interact with other drugs?
A14. Currently, it is generally believed that due to the stable chemical properties of molecular hydrogen, hydrogen-rich water can be consumed in conjunction with everyday health supplements. It can also be used to produce hydrogen-enriched milk, juices, and various other beverages.
However, although molecular hydrogen itself is highly stable, there are currently no conclusive reports confirming the feasibility of consuming hydrogen-rich water together with pharmaceutical drugs. Therefore, as a precaution, we do not recommend taking hydrogen-rich water in combination with medications.
+
Q15. Why is 2% molecular hydrogen concentration recommended for molecular hydrogen inhalation? Isn’t a higher molecular hydrogen concentration better?
A15. Hydrogen gas at concentrations below 4% poses no risk of combustion, making it safer for practical use.
Although higher concentrations of molecular hydrogen may produce stronger effects within the same inhalation time, safety remains the primary consideration. Therefore, we recommend extending the duration of hydrogen gas inhalation to compensate for the concentration, rather than increasing it. Moreover, scientific studies have shown that inhaling hydrogen gas at a 2% concentration is sufficient to achieve the desired effects.
+
Q16. What is the most effective way to inhale hydrogen gas?
A16. Hydrogen gas has a biological half-life of approximately 6–8 hours in the body. Therefore, it is recommended to follow a “small amounts, multiple sessions” approach when inhaling hydrogen. This helps maintain a more stable level of hydrogen molecules in the body and achieves the best overall effect.
+
Q17. Can molecular hydrogen inhalation replace drinking hydrogen-rich water?
A17. Not recommended. Molecular hydrogen inhalation and drinking hydrogen-rich water each have their own advantages. Using them alternately allows them to complement each other and achieve better overall results.
+
Q18. Is it safe for children to drink hydrogen-rich water?
A18. To date, there is no research indicating that molecular hydrogen poses any harm to the human body. Therefore, children can safely consume hydrogen-rich water with confidence.

Q19. There are many hydrogen generators on the market, with molecular hydrogen output rates ranging from 100 cc/min to 500 cc/min, and even up to 1,000 cc/min. Why should you choose our 200 cc/min dual-function hydrogen gas and hydroge-rich water generator?
A19. The Elite Hydrogen Gas & Hydrogen Water Dual-Function generator is a versatile device designed to produce both hydrogen gas and hydrogen-rich water. According to the clinical experience of leading Japanese hydrogen expert Professor Miyagawa, a molecular hydrogen output of 200 cc/min or higher is sufficient to deliver effective results. While hydrogen generators with outputs of 300, 500, or even 1,000 cc/min can provide a larger volume of molecular hydrogen in a shorter time, they also come with significantly higher purchase costs. In terms of overall effectiveness, as long as the inhalation duration and hydrogen-rich water intake are adequate, the difference in results is minimal. On the other hand, generators with an output of only 100 cc/min are more affordable, but their lower molecular hydrogen production makes noticeable benefits harder to achieve. Taking performance, cost, and overall value into consideration, the Elite Hydrogen Gas & Hydrogen Water Dual-Function device offers the best balance and delivers outstanding cost-performance (CP value), making it the ideal choice.
+
Q20.Will intaking molecular hydrogen cause any noticeable physiological changes?
A20. Molecular hydrogen does not affect physiological blood parameters such as body temperature, blood pressure, pH level, or oxygen partial pressure. In addition, molecular hydrogen does not interfere with metabolic redox reactions nor normal cellular signaling pathways. Even with increased intake, molecular hydrogen is still harmless.

Q21. Are there concerns about ozone, hypochlorous acid, or toxin / heavy metal/pollutant residues in hydrogen gas?
A21. Ozone generally requires a voltage of around 10V or higher to be generated. The operating voltage of our electrolysis core does not exceed 4V, making ozone formation impossible. Our hydrogen gas & hydrogen water dual-function device uses a latest-generation core based on proton exchange membrane (PEM) technology combined with a membrane electrode assembly (MEA). Pure water is electrolyzed through a metal catalyst. This is fundamentally different from conventional electrode-based water electrolysis systems. Traditional electrodes cannot electrolyze pure water because it does not conduct electricity, so users must add ions to increase conductivity or use tap water instead. As a result, molecular hydrogen produced by traditional systems may carry risks of ozone, hypochlorous acid, toxins, heavy metals, or other contaminants, raising safety concerns. In contrast, our dual-function system requires the use of purified water. During the purification process, impurities and ions are removed, ensuring that the molecular hydrogen produced is clean, safe, and free from toxic residues.
